RRC Childcare is a State Licensed family childcare business (Type-A) owned and operated by Marian Pycraft. My husband and I have been providing care in our Christian home environment for the past 21 years. We are the parents of six children (4 boys / 2 girls) between the ages of 11 and 21 years.
My educational background includes a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) from The Council for Professional Recognition, Washington DC.), a Bachelor degree in Accounting (University of Akron) and an Associate of Arts degree in Executive Secretarial Science (University of Akron). I have over 30 years experience nurturing and educating children of all ages. I began as the neighborhood babysitter, park & recreation assistant, bible school helper as a pre-teen. I continued as a Nanny & Sunday School teacher during my college years. After marrying (24 yrs ago), I volunteered as an Awana leader, Sunday School/Children's Church teacher. Upon the birth of my first child I made the decision to stay at home and pursue my plan to open a family childcare. I have over 1000hrs of training in health, safety and child development & education and continue to update my training on a regular basis. I enjoy reading non-fiction, crafts, camping and spending time with my family. My husband and assistant, has been a public school teacher for 34 years and has a Masters degree in Education. He enjoys woodworking, construction projects, and computers. We spend a great majority of our time coming up with new plans for the educational entertainment of children!
